Bérêche & Fils is one of Burgundy’s most prestigious wine dealerships, founded in 1823 and located in Beaune, the “Capital of Burgundy.” Owned by the Bérêche family (the name means “son of Berrichon”), it has built up a reputation as one of the most reputable wine merchant companies. Many important personalities have made Bérêche their supplier in both France and abroad. The wines are sold to consumers under three major brands: Bérêche & fils, Binot-Berrichon, and B & F. Because all three own a certain percentage of each other’s stocks, they are all labeled with these names and not with the place where they are produced. Bérêche & fils (John’s great-grandfather, Père Fallout Bérêche 1824-1906), was the first to plant superior vines on the hillsides of Clos de Vougeot and Nuits-Saint-Georges.

The Bérêche family has been growing wines in Burgundy since 1926. Today, the dynasty is led by Michel-Louis Bérêche, who took over the family business in 1999 when his father, Jean-Pierre Berêche, retired after more than fifty years as co-owner. Bérêche & Fils was created in 1979 when Jean-Luc Berêche, today the only producer at Bérêche, remade the “Gilbert Line”, which was composed of 600 ha of vines in the Beaujolais. He decided to rename the domain “Berêche & Fils” on behalf of his sons, Gildas and Jérémy. Today, Online wine auctions wines are distributed everywhere.. Bérêche & Fils was created in 1985 by Philippe CAZORS, as a second wine (Côtes de Gascogne) produced from old vines planted on the property owned by his family since the late 17<sup>th</sup> century. Over time, the appellation origin Contrôlée Côtes de Gascogne has gained recognition throughout the world, and is now among the top 5 red wines of France and one of the most popular rosés thanks to its exceptional quality.
Bérêche and Fils, led by Lionel Bérêche, elaborates the wines throughout the entire winemaking process on their estate located in Saint-Julien-de-Tours in the heart of Pouilly-Fumé. Located just outside of Nantes, they specialize in making Pouilly-Fumé wines of exceptional elegance and finesse. From the handpicked grapes to the finished bottle, they are extremely attentive to all steps of production. Jean Baptiste Bérêche and his son, Louis-Joseph, came to the Chambertin district around 1820. They became involved with wine production almost immediately, learning from their neighbors in the village of Vougeot. Their knowledge and enthusiasm quickly took them to great heights. In less than thirty years, their wines had already been awarded a gold medal at the Paris Exposition of 1855.
