Art and Craft Gallery:
Melbourne has some amazing art galleries where you get to see all kinds of artistic paintings, sculptures and other such items. All the major galleries in town are owned by the City of Melbourne. There is a wonderful collection of oil paintings, water colours, sketches, etchings and many more in these places. The photo gallery is also a must visit for all those who want to know about the history of photography in Melbourne.
Campbells Cove:
If you love walking or jogging here is a good place for you! There are so many people who come here just to walk around or enjoy themselves with their friends and family members. In fact there are several large group tours that come down here just to have a good time. However during the evening you might find it difficult because there are no lights here.
Mitchell Library:
If you love reading Victorian literature then this is the place for you! The Mitchell Library has over three million books which are made available to people who want to read them. There are several periodicals, magazines and daily newspapers that are published from Melbourne itself. Many well known journals like The Age, Herald Sun and many more are all available in the library itself! So now you can read about current affairs even when you at home.
The gardens near Flinders St Station- This garden is particularly famous for its ‘Icy Fountain’. It was created by Australian artist Andrew Anderson back in 2002. He has created several beautiful sculptures in this garden.
There are several other fountains situated here which have been making the place worth visiting. This is one of the most popular places to visit after work hours so don’t get late. At last I would like to mention that you will find people playing chess on some of these fountains, so it might be fun for you too!
National Gallery:
This is another art gallery in Melbourne where you can see some amazing paintings and photos by local artists only. So if you want to know about Australian arts then do visit this place at least once because it is really worth seeing!
St Paul’s Cathedral:
I am sure that by now everyone must have heard about how huge this cathedral is. It is so big that it can accommodate more than 3000 people at a time in its hall. It was made by the British so you will find all the architectural designs to be very Victorian in nature. You can see some ancient Gothic windows here along with some great carvings over the main entrance of the cathedral too.
St Patrick’s Basilica:
Another wonderful church which you should visit is St Patrick’s Basilica. This is one of the most popular landmarks in Melbourne and really looks splendid, especially due to its golden exterior walls! There are several religious services held here on Sundays for people who want to attend them. So if you want to get blessed then do visit this place once!
And if you think you want some more excitement in your life apart from this, you can check out the Melbourne escorts.
